I have decided to switch over to blogspot.com

I really enjoy blogging, and I have found it to be a very theraputic, and creative outlet for myself. With little bites on here, and lots of tempting add ons at blogspot I have finally been swayed.

I hope my few followers will still follow.

Once I get everything a little settled I will post a link soon.

Crossing fingers!

dreadedmama asked: Tell me your secrets!! :)

haha for?  If you are talking about time outs, it’s been consistency. Though I’m pretty certain it won’t last for long. She’ll eventually realize I am a big mush ball, and with a wink can be pushed over. Keeping you guys in my thoughts!

Good Happenins’

1.Miss Mae and I have been spending more and more time outdoors.

2. The weather has been beautiful.

3. I am on Spring Vacation!

4.Yesterday with the help of another mom/my soon to be first client I developed an online, one-woman business. Yes, no money down, just adding to my zero income as a SHM, no overhead, just me and my raw talent sort of business. I’ll announce more later. I just need to iron out a few more kinks. P.S this mom is awesome! She started her own business, and is making some serious dough. Did I mention, she doesn’t have to pay rent etc. Yes, she’s awesome.

5. I stumbled upon a lovely vintage shop yesterday. This shop is the parent shop to a kids shop just five blocks away!

Not so good happenins’

1. I was let go from my very part-time babysitting job. Actually, the mom was let go from her job, which means I am let go from mine. I am more sad for her then myself. This job was new, but it was in her career field. My main purpose for babysitting is so River can have a buddy, and for some extra pocket money. I don’t depend on it for bills etc. (sad face time)

2. River has been eating crayons.

3. The crayon eating session persisted, even after some serious “Crayons are NOT for eating” sayings by mama. The last session ended in River’s first time out in her green chair. She actually sat there. Granted timeout was only for thirty seconds…but she sat there. It’s been a little over a hour, and no crayons have been digested. Working.

4.  I stumbled upon a vintage shop. This shop is the parent shop to a kids shop five blocks away. Believe me this is equally as bad as it is good. :(

We are slightly two months shy of our one year wedding anniversary!!

“Give it all to him, meet him at the finish line”

Thanks for this Beyonce.

If you needed a smile this morning.

Hopefully

         Begin our planting for Spring.

The Weekend Roundup

…according to Peter’s IPhone.

This weekend was a full family weekend. Hooray!

The original plan was to take River Mae and Seon to go see the Easter Bunny, and enjoy Easter activities at Brooklyn Bridge Park. Not. Rained the whole weekend here in NYC.  The event was outside, so we were certain it was canceled. (If it wasn’t canceled and you went, don’t tell me. I’m a sore loser. Boo)

We decided to take them to Ikea, in hopes that they could play in the little play space they have there. Little did I know, there was a “No adults” rule. So that was out of the question. Thank goodness for the Brooklyn Children’s Museum! They were at Ikea offering FREE arts and crafts to the kids! Se Se made a very cute butterfly. River on the other hand was not really interested. She was much more interested, in following behind her big cousin while he ran/flew the butterfly all over Ikea’s ground floor; giving his poor Uncle Peter a good workout. haha

They were both troopers as we shopped around. River napped on and off while Seon took the opportunity to sit on every other couch and insist that we sit too. He confirmed how “cute” each couch was. When did four year olds start having such an opinion?

Funny enough we ran into my brother, and his girlfriend during our lunch break in Ikea! We talked about my brother’s new apartment. I am so happy for him!

                                                   Really mom?

Sunday was our “Stroll Day”. We slept in, mama ate some pancakes (Miss Mae had some too), and we visited a few flea markets, and even attempted to push up my upgrade so I could buy an IPhone. Apparently, my husband dislikes my cracked, freezing up, occasionally no sound, not charging, Evo 3G more than I. After spending a HOUR in Radio Shack, we found out, that I would have to call Sprint myself. I literally almost went crazy in there.  I really dislike handling business on weekends. I dislike staying stationary even more. I think Peter has learned his lesson. haha He’s so sweet for trying though!

Happy Monday!

I personally love the boyfriend look. You will often find me wearing a vintage fedora with a pair of oxfords. I was influenced by my grandmother’s style. I remember looking at pictures of her in a pants suit and bow tie, accented with her long, curly, golden hair draping over her shoulders. She was beautiful. She didn’t need to expose her skin to prove it.
Mom you should stop reading now. Love you! :)
The boyfriend look is the sexiest look in my opinion. When I think about it, what’s a better testament to female sexuality, than the classic white button down?
When I had River Mae, she was THE girliest newborn ever. I loved that. I love that. When kids are young, its so hard to decipher their sex. Though, its pretty sad I still got the silly question “Is that a girl?” “Um…yes. With a leopard snow suit on, I could only hope so.” Seriously? Now with those long eyelashes, head of hair (usually held down with a clip), gold hoop earrings, and gold bangles, the guessing game is over. Right?
I can’t help but take advantage of her being this dainty, girly girl. I am doing so by: outfitting her in a button up, and a bow tie. I know, initially it seems weird. Let the idea marinate for a few. Now it’ll scream, I’m a girl, but my mommy loves playing with fashion! With toddlers, anything goes. They are these pure, sweet, blank slates.
Yup, that’s my sweet, fashion forward, girly girl.

The Weekend Roundup!

… according to Peter’s IPhone, mostly.

Sunday morning we went to visit my friend at The Gym Park. She was selling designer Easter and Baptism dresses at a steep discount. It turned out to be a great break for mama! Peter played with River for two hours, while I helped out a little in the selling process. I also purchased a Christening dress for River Mae, and a vintage esque Marmalade sundress, for barely anything.

This house was beautiful! Even with the dreary weather that day, we were in the spring spirit. How much time do you think it took to hang all of those eggs?

After brunch and naps, we headed over to my mommy’s house to celebrate my nephew Seon’s fourth birthday!

He received a ton of gifts from our family! He’s four, but he already knows what he likes, and doesn’t like!

He was so thankful that his Ti Ti (ME!), his Uncle Peter, and his baby cousin “Wiver Mae”, bought him vintage gifts. The Fisher Price camera was his favorite from us. Hands down.

After leaving my moms house, we headed over to give a quick visit to my uncle! (River’s Great Uncle)

She left him with two pairs of sneakers, and this sweet beauty! YES!

Wow what a full Sunday! To say the least, Miss Mae is quite tired today.

                                     Love this man.

Cheers to a positive week!

Love,

All three of us!

Wednesday afternoon around 4pm or so, River Mae came down with a horrifying stomach virus.
I got a total of two or three hours of sleep. The same for Peter. Yesterday morning I started to develop some of the same symptoms.:( Peter stayed home. He cleaned, cooked, and kept a good eye on River. I love that man!

We managed to feel good enough to grab lunch, and take a well deserved visit to the park.

Last night, I got worse. I feel a little better now. Poor Peter has now caught it! He was up all night hacking.

Go away virus. Please?!
